Terms and conditions

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to all work carried out by Garage Nockenwelle GmbH on its customers’ vehicles: servicing, repairs, MFK inspection prep, tyre changes and storage. Different arrangements apply only if they are agreed in writing.

2. Orders and quotes

An order is placed when you hand over the vehicle with an agreed scope of work. Before every job you receive a written quote. Quotes are valid for one month.

3. Additional work

If we find during the work that more is needed, we ask for your consent first, usually by phone. Without your consent we do not carry out any additional work.

4. Test drives

Where needed for diagnosis or checks, we take your vehicle on test drives.

5. Replaced parts

If you wish, we leave the replaced parts in your vehicle. Otherwise we dispose of them properly. Exchange parts go back to the supplier.

6. Collection

We let you know when the vehicle is ready to collect. If it is not collected within five working days of that notice, we may charge a reasonable fee for the parking space.

7. Payment

The invoice is due on collection, in cash or by card. An invoice with a payment period is possible by agreement.

Until payment in full, we may retain the vehicle (right of retention, art. 895 Swiss Civil Code).

8. Warranty

Please report defects in our work or in fitted parts as soon as you discover them. We put them right free of charge where they are due to our work or a faulty part. Otherwise the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations on contracts for work apply (art. 363 ff. CO).

9. Tyre storage

We keep stored wheels dry and dark until the next change or until collection. If stored wheels are not collected after a written reminder, we may dispose of them after a reasonable period.

10. Liability

We are liable in accordance with the law. For valuables left in the vehicle, we are liable only for intent or gross negligence (art. 100 CO). Please remove valuables before handing over the vehicle.

11. Data protection

How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Garage Nockenwelle GmbH, unless the law provides otherwise.
